Hello everybody,
my name is Oliver Jetter and I'm a student at the University of Karlsruhe
(Germany).
At the moment I'm studying computer science, and this summer term I'm
attending a seminar about self-organization and self-management of P2P
networks.
I chose the topic DHTs and got the study about OpenDHT (OpenDHT: A Public
DHT Service and Its Uses, SIGCOMM'05).
As I'm very interested in that topic I searched a lot in the internet and
also read the user archives of the mailing list which gave my new insights.
Now I wonder if I can get some more information about OpenDHT from you
regarding the following questions:
1.) A long-running test is described in the study. Since last year, have
there been any further measurements and what are the results?
2.) Within the study there are given a lot of alternatives like planned
interfaces. Are there any big implementation changes till now? I could get
some information via the mailing list, like the 1KB size constraint is not
going to be changed due to the existence of Merkle trees, but are there any
further implementations?
3.) Are there any other plans for OpenDHT?
Thanks,
Oliver
