I forgot to mention: you should NEVER use
http://opendht.org/servers.txt to find an OpenDHT node. Do a DNS
lookup on opendht.nyuld.net instead. It will give you several servers
near you, and it's much more scalable than servers.txt. Like this:
$ dig +short opendht.nyuld.net
opendht.84ef11e1.oasis.nyuld.net.
128.42.6.143
220.245.140.196
Use severs.txt only if DNS isn't working, and use it only by hand (not
from an automated script). I personally pay for the bandwidth for
servers.txt.
